|Atonement in the Stone-Campbell Movement
What Did Christ's Sacrifice Accomplish?
Atonement in Early Restorationist Thought
This was the inagural lecture of the Restoration Theological Research Fellowship at the Society of Biblical Literature Conference in Chicago, Illinois (November, 1994).
The lecture surveys the theology of atonement in Alexander and Thomas Campbell, Barton W. Stone and Walter Scott. They each had differing perspectives on the meaning of the atonement of Christ.
The history is then extended into the late 19th and 20th century history of the Stone-Campbell movement.
